Refund and Return Policy

At Santa Mia, we craft every product in small batches with care, integrity, and intention. Because our formulations are made with fresh ingredients and are designed for direct skin contact, we must balance safety, hygiene, and fairness for a very small business.

Below is our return and refund policy, written with transparency and respect for both you and our craft.

Returns for Unopened Products

Unopened, unused products may be returned or exchanged within 14 days of delivery or pickup.

To qualify:

  • Product must be unopened, unused, and in original condition

  • Receipt or proof of purchase required

Refund method:

  • You may choose refund or store credit

  • Refunds are issued to the original method of payment

Shipping/return shipping costs are non-refundable.

Returns for Opened Products

For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on used or opened cosmetics except in the following cases:

1. Allergic Reaction

If a product causes an unexpected reaction, discontinue use immediately and contact us within 7 days with:

  • order number

  • photos

  • description of reaction

You may select:

  • Store credit, or

  • A refund upon review

This helps us keep every customer safe.

2. Product Defect or Quality Issue

If the product arrives damaged, spoiled, separated, contaminated, or significantly different from its description, contact us within 5 days of receiving it with:

  • photos of the issue

  • order number

We will replace, refund, or credit you depending on your preference and available stock.

Non-Returnable Items

Due to hygiene and safety, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on:

  • Used/opened cosmetics without a defect

  • Custom-made or one-of-a-kind items

  • Gift cards

  • Sale or clearance items

  • Lost, stolen, or opened shipment packages (we will help file a claim if applicable)

Cancellations

Because we are a small-batch maker:

  • Orders may be cancelled within 4 hours of purchase.

  • After that window, your order may already be batched or packed and cannot be cancelled.

How to Initiate a Return

Email us at info@santa-mia.com with the subject line RETURN REQUEST – Order #____ and include:
✔ Order number
✔ Reason for return
✔ Photos (if applicable)

We respond within 1–2 business days.
