The Exhale - Powder to Foam Cleanser

Price

$28.00

A gentle powder-to-foam cleanser made with gentle coconut-based surfactants, oats, clay, calendula, and wild chaga.

Because it contains no water, The Exhale needs to stay dry until you use it. The extra step of pouring a little into your hand and slowly adding water may seem inconvenient at first, but I have grown rather fond of it. It asks very little of us: only a few moments and a bit of attention.

The result is a soft cleansing lather that leaves skin feeling clean, comfortable, and supported, with gentle exfoliation from finely milled oats.

You don't have to justify your you-time, slow down and see what happens.

How it Supports Your Skin

The Exhale came from a fairly simple observation: cleansing products often seem determined to convince us that our skin needs to be scrubbed, stripped, purified, or detoxified.

My experience has been that most skin, especially as we age, simply wants support.

The Exhale combines finely milled oats, calming botanicals, clay, and gentle plant-derived cleansers that remove the day without leaving skin feeling tight or depleted. The oatmeal provides very light physical exfoliation while ingredients like calendula, allantoin, and chaga help support skin that may already be feeling stressed or sensitive.

Because the formula contains no water, it requires very little preservation. The trade-off is that it asks for a little more intention. You cannot simply leave it in the shower and forget about it. You have to pour some into your hand, slowly add water, and work it into a lather.

I have actually come to appreciate that extra step. It is only a few seconds, but it creates a small pause at the beginning or end of the day. In a world that encourages us to rush through nearly everything, I think there is something worthwhile about a cleanser that asks us to slow down.

Recommendations for Use

The Exhale should be kept dry between uses. It's important.

Before cleansing, pour approximately a dime-sized amount into dry hands or a small dish. Gradually add a few drops of water and work into a soft lather before applying to damp skin.

The finely milled oats provide gentle exfoliation, making The Exhale suitable for regular use while remaining kind to sensitive or mature skin.
